Orr and Out: Australian Star Departs Pulse

Its ben confirmed that Tyler Orr has departed London Pulse. We lookback on her time in London.

Tyler Orr’s London Pulse journey has come to an end, bringing the curtain down on a spell that saw the Australian mid-courter quickly become a fan favourite and a key figure in one of the club’s most successful eras.

Orr arrived in London ahead of the 2025 season determined to take her career into her own hands after several years on the fringes of the Adelaide Thunderbirds setup. Speaking at the time of her signing, she said she was looking forward to learning from new teammates, embracing a new environment and gaining the regular top-level court time she had been craving. “Moving to England is a huge step in my netball career as well as for me personally,” she said when her move was confirmed.

Pulse head coach and CEO Sam Bird was equally excited to secure Orr’s signature. Bird identified the Australian as the missing link in Pulse’s attacking transition game, praising both her work ethic and her ability to connect the midcourt with the shooting circle. Reflecting on the recruitment, Bird described Orr as “an exceptional player” who had been unlucky to be stuck behind a championship-winning Thunderbirds side, adding that her feeding ability and attacking drive were exactly what Pulse had been searching for.

Orr wasted little time making her mark in the Netball Super League. Across two seasons in pink and black, she established herself as one of the competition’s most reliable and intelligent mid-courters, helping Pulse reach new heights and playing a significant role in the club’s historic title-winning success. Her energy, composure and versatility became trademarks of her game, whether operating at centre, wing attack or wing defence. Statistics and performances alike underlined her influence, as she developed into one of the league’s standout performers in the engine room.
