Olivia Wilkinson will join the Sunshine Coast Lightning for the next two seasons, bringing her to the coast until the end of 2028.

Wilkinson made her debut in 2024 at the age of 19 with West Coast Fever, where she has played for her last three seasons, including the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final.

Standing at 190 cm, the exciting goaler is a Netball Youth World Cup winner and will add to another layer to head coach, Belinda Reynolds, attacking circle.

Wilkinson said she was looking forward to arriving on the Sunshine Coast and beginning pre-season training.

“I’m really excited for this next chapter of my netballing journey and even more so to be with the Lightning,” she said.

“Watching from afar and seeing some of the incredibly talented players already locked in for 2027 and beyond, I’m pumped to join them.

“I can’t wait to get over the coast and get our pre-season underway, go Boltz!”

Sunshine Coast head coach, Reynolds has said that she is looking forward to seeing Wilkinson in a Lightning dress.

“Wilkinson has shown her versatility as a player, being able to easily transition from Goal Attack to Goal Shooter,” she said.

“She is only young, and we are excited to help her continue to develop as a player but know how good she already is, so early in her career.

“Her prowess from Super Shot range is something which should excite all of our fans and members going into season 2027.”

Wilkinson becomes the first new signing for the Lightning during the 2026 signing period, joining a host of re-signed players.
