Aussie Gia Abernethy returns
The formidable Gia Abernethy makes a return to Strathclyde Sirens following her first season with the club in 18-19. As well as representing the Scottish side in the Vitality Netball Superleague, Gia also represented Adelaide Thunderbirds in the Suncorp Super League and the U21 Australian National team.
Gia said: “I can’t wait to build on the relationships formed last season and embrace the challenges that come with a second season in the Vitality Netball Superleague.”
“This is the team that have given me the opportunity to play netball in a new country. It’s put me outside my comfort zone, helped challenge my character and grow as a person. I want to perform well for the Strathclyde Sirens because of that.”
