Beth Dix returns for second season to Strathclyde Sirens
Strathclyde Sirens are thrilled to announce the return of one of the franchise’s breakthrough players, Beth Dix for the 2022 Vitality Netball Superleague.
Winner of Fan’s Player of the Season, Dix, heads into her second season with Sirens having signed from Wasps in 2019. The World Cup-winning England Dodgeball captain brings her dual skills to the mid-court. Dix adds,
“I couldn’t more excited to sign with Sirens for another season, the opportunities and belief they gave me last year is something I am truly grateful for and now it’s all down to unfinished business with this incredible squad. We’re after a top 4 spot and we’re going to work extremely hard to get it!”
Beth continues that Gia Abernethy summed up their season when she said,
“We’re not the underdogs anymore, we are the big guns. I think that’s how the team have felt a lot of the time. We have worked really hard in training on our connections, I don’t think we are surprised with our results because we knew we were capable of it, it’s nice other people are seeing that now.
Head Coach, Lesley MacDonald adds;
“Delighted to have our mid courter back for her 2nd season. Beth is a young, exciting and versatile player who had a tremendous break through season. She has a great desire to be the best player she can be therefore I am looking forward to seeing her develop with in the centre court combinations and challenge her next level to bring even more to the fans this season.”
