Lightning’s 2026 fixtures land
The 2026 Suncorp Super Netball fixture has been announced, with Sunshine Coast Lightning set to play its milestone 10th season.
Following the biggest season in Suncorp Super Netball history, the 2026 season will hit the courts on Saturday, 14 March with an earlier schedule crafted to conclude ahead of the 2026 Glasgow Commonwealth Games in late July.
Lightning’s 2026 campaign kicks off against the West Coast Fever in Perth, a nostalgic nod to the very first Suncorp Super Netball game played back in 2017.
The battle for the Queensland Cup begins in Round 3 as Lightning host the Queensland Firebirds at UniSC Arena — a state rivalry guaranteed to bring the energy.
Two matches will be played on Easter Sunday next season, with the reigning premiers, the Melbourne Vixens to host Lightning at John Cain Arena for Round 4.
First Nations Rounds will return in 2026 across Rounds 11 and 12, coinciding with National Reconciliation Week (27 May – 3 June).
Lightning will play the first game of First Nations Round at John Cain Arena against the Melbourne Mavericks before hosting GIANTS Netball at UniSC Arena.
Lightning will finish its home and away season at UniSC Arena on Saturday, 13 June, ahead of the Finals Series set to commence the following week.
Tickets for the 2026 Suncorp Super Netball season go on sale early next year, with Lightning Memberships to go on sale in the coming months.
AWSN (All Women’s Sports Network) and Inverleigh have joined forces with Netball Australia to deliver access to netball globally. As a result, the 2026 season is set to showcase the world’s best netball league to millions of fans across more than 120 countries.
Domestically, Fox Netball and SEN will provide unrivalled access, coverage and commentary of the world’s best netball league.
