Netball World Youth Cup 2025: Day 2 – 21st September

Day 2 of the Netball Youth World Cup 2025 took place in Gibraltar with 16 of the 20 teams in the competition in action today across two venues.

At the Europa Sports Complex, teams from Jamaica, Tonga, Gibraltar, Malaysia, Trinidad & Tobago, Malawi, Northern Ireland and Scotland competed.

After having to wait a day to get on the court, Jamaica came out the blocks fast to secure a 66 – 43 victory over Tonga.

Hosts Gibraltar fell to a second defeat, this time losing 28 – 59 to Malaysia.

Malawi started the tournament with a rousing 65 – 29 victory over Trinidad & Tobago.

Scotland made it two wins from two and consigned Northern Ireland to back to back losses with a 64 – 41 victory.

At the Tercentenary Sports Hall, teams from New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji, Barbados, Australia and Singapore

Reigning champions New Zealand got their first match under their belts with a 74 – 47 victory over Cook Islands.

Fiji overcame Barbados 66 -34 in the penultimate match at the Tercentenary Sports Hall.

Australia recorded the biggest win of the day with a 92 – 25 win over Singapore.
