Bongiwe leads SA team in Glasgow

From the court to the command, Bonquwe Msomi to lead Team SA at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

One of our very own in KwaZulu-Natal and a true KZN Netball product, Bongiwe Msomi, has been appointed as Team South Africa’s Chef de Mission for Glasgow 2026.

From proudly wearing the green and gold on court to now leading Team SA into another major Games chapter, Msomi’s inspiring journey continues to break barriers and open doors for the next generation.

As Chef de Mission, Msomi will be responsible for leading Team South Africa throughout the Games, ensuring athlete welfare, team unity, and high performance on and off the field of play.

Her appointment is a proud moment not only for South African sport but for KwaZulu-Natal Netball, a reminder of the incredible talent and leadership produced from our province.
