Dragons lose “Cardiff” for next season

The sole Welsh Netball Superleague team are set to lose “Cardiff” from their title from 2026.

The team are now officially known as “LexisNexis Dragons”. It has also been announced that home fixtures will also take place at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena – that has hosted internationals in the past – alongside Cardiff’s House of Sport where games took place last season.

Dragons are among six of the league’s teams who will play home games at alternative venues but remain the only side who will host opponents in two different countries.

London Pulse and Nottingham Forest Netball will host games at one venue, remaining in their home cities.

The team finished bottom of last years Superleague, winning only 2 of their games and there was concerns over funding issues in close season which have now been resolved ahead of 2026

Initial season fixtures published yesterday would seem to confirm this fact.

We have approached the league for confirmation
