The final day of the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 in Gibraltar. After nine days of competition, the last eight teams played to secure their final finishing places and who would be crowned Champions.

All matches took place at the Europa Sports Complex, where teams from Cook Islands, Malawi, Jamaica, Scotland, England, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia played for final placings and medals.

7th – 8th Place Final – Cook Islands 54 – 61 Malawi
A great game between two evenly matched teams, with momentum swinging between each quarter. Malawi were the eventual winners, finishing in 7th place, but the Cook Islands almost pulled their way back into the match in the final quarter, in the end it was an 8th place finish for the South Pacific nation.

5th – 6th Place Final Jamaica 53 – 44 Scotland
It was goal for goal in the first two quarters of the match, but Jamaica started to pull away in the third. The Scottish Thistles pushed to get back within touching distance in the fourth, but Jamaica kept their score ticking over and their defence was very strong. It finished 53 – 44 with Jamaica finishing 5th and Scotland in 6th.

Bronze Medal Match England 55 – 35 South Africa
In the Bronze Medal Match, England and South Africa went goal for goal in a low scoring first quarter, but England started to convert more of their attacks in the second quarter and began to pull away. They never looked back. England secured the bronze medal with a 55 – 35 victory.

Gold Medal Match Final New Zealand 48 – 63 Australia.
So it came down to the final match. New Zealand were on the hunt for three championships in a row for the first time in World Netball history. Australia were looking to win gold for the first time since 2009. As expected from these two fantastic teams, it was end to end, goal for goal.
