Ervin back in Yellow for 2026

Sunshine Coast Lightning is proud to announce that star defender, Ashleigh Ervin, has re-signed with the Club for 2026.

Ervin was signed in 2023 as a promising young athlete and has shown impressive growth since then – earning herself a spot in the Origin Diamonds 2024-25 Squad and most recently in the 2025-26 Squad.

Standing at 192cm, Ervin’s height is a key asset of her game but her footwork and ability to read the play has skyrocketed this season, proving herself a dominant defender in the Lightning line-up.

Sunshine Coast Lightning Head Coach Belinda Reynolds was pleased to resign Ervin’s contract and said, “I am thrilled to welcome Ash back in Lightning colours in 2026. She has worked incredibly hard this season and that hard work has translated into her game.

“While we have recognised her outstanding performances, it’s fantastic to also see her noticed by the Australian selectors the past two years. I’m looking forward to see the next level Ash can take her game, and what she can achieve in the years to come.”

With three players already contracted for 2026, Ervin’s signing takes Lightning’s confirmed players to four.

Current 2026 Sunshine Coast Lightning Squad:
