
Butterworth joins Nottingham Forest Netball
Nottingham Forest Netball is delighted to announce Andrew Butterworth as Head of Performance and Head of Performance Analysis.
Butterworth arrives with a wealth of experience, having been Head of Analysis for the England Roses between 2012 and 2016.
He then joined Loughborough Lightning in 2016, winning three Netball Super League titles in four years, including back-to-back title wins in the last two seasons.
Butterworth has also worked in other roles in netball for the likes of Scotland and South Africa, as well as working in football, cricket and badminton. He has also worked with Forest Netball technical director Karen Atkinson at England, Scotland and Loughborough.
Andrew Butterworth said: “I am delighted to be joining Nottingham Forest Netball, a forward thinking and visionary new club, as we embark on an exciting new time for the professionalisation of netball in the UK.
“I am especially proud to be taking the exciting new role of Head of Performance, stepping up into this leadership role to guide our team of talented and passionate sports science staff to optimise and cultivate on court performance levels.
“In my Head of Performance Analysis role, I will be working directly with Chelsea, Sheona and all the pathway coaches to deliver world leading video and data driven intelligence insights in real time, to the exciting and dynamic group of players representing Nottingham Forest in our inaugural season.”
