2025 Cardiff Dragons

The players set to represent Cardiff Dragons in 2025 have been announced.

There is a core group of last season’s team returning to the franchise for the 2025 season.

In the Defence end the dynamic partnership of Leah Middleton and Jacqui Newton returns. Between the defensive unit Jacqui and Leah featured in the top 10 league rankings for gains, deflections, and intercepts.

We are also excited to have Alex Johnson joining the 10 following a successful few seasons at Loughborough Lightening and being part of their back-to-back Championship team.

In the Mid court positions Elle McDonald, Khanyisa Chawane and Beth Ecuyer-Dale are pulling on the green dress again this season. They will be joined by Team Bath Captain from last season, Beth Dyke.

Beth Ecuyer-Dale averaged a 92% circle feed accuracy in 2024. Beth Dyke and KC ended the season in the top 10 list for circle feeds whilst Elle McDonald was a regular feature in the NSL Team of the week.

Onto the Shooters, our in-sync duo of Georgia Rowe and Phillipa Yarranton are back with us in green. They are looking forward to cementing their on-court connection even more in 2025.

They will be joined by returnee Chelsea Beard. Chelsea won player of the match in 2 out of her 3 games for Cardiff Dragons in season 2023 before she departed to give birth to her third child.
