Netball Scotland announces new partnership with Stellar Omada
Netball Scotland is delighted to welcome Scottish IT consultancy Stellar Omada as they become the main dress sponsor of the Scottish Thistles, Scotland’s national netball team.
The partnership will see the Stellar Omada brand feature on the Scottish Thistles playing dress during all international competitions over the next 18 months.
The agreement represents another positive step in Netball Scotland’s work to develop meaningful commercial partnerships that support the growth of the sport and increase investment into netball in Scotland, particularly after the success of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
For Stellar Omada, the partnership represents a natural progression of their established commitment to advancing women in both sport and technology. The company already acts as the principal shirt sponsor for Hearts Women FC, supports the Women’s Capital Cup, and maintains a long-term relationship with the Linlithgow Flyers netball team. Partnering with the Scottish Thistles elevates this regional investment to a national and international platform.
Strategically, the sponsorship aligns directly with Stellar Omada’s internal corporate culture. The firm actively challenges standard tech industry demographics – where women typically make up just 26% of the workforce – by maintaining a near 50/50 gender balance and supporting women in key executive roles, including Chief Financial Officer, Zoe Lee.
Netball Scotland CEO Ken Hay welcomed the new partnership:
“We’re delighted to welcome Stellar Omada as a partner of Netball Scotland and the Scottish Thistles. Having such a successful Scottish-based business choosing to invest in our sport is hugely positive, and we’re proud that the Stellar Omada name will feature on the Thistles dress.
“Strong commercial partnerships are important as we continue to grow netball in Scotland during a history-making year for netball on and off the court. We are looking forward to working with the Stellar Omada team and building a partnership that brings real value to both organisations, with many exciting opportunities to come.”
Zoe Lee, Chief Financial Officer at Stellar Omada, commented:
“Partnering with the Scottish Thistles is a logical extension of our commitment to championing female talent. As a business, we have worked hard to build a balanced, inclusive workforce in the tech sector, and we recognise the same dedication to high performance and teamwork in the national netball setup. We look forward to supporting the team on the court over the next 18 months, while also using this platform to bring our digital skills and STEM programmes to a wider audience of young women across Scotland.”
The Stellar Omada logo will make its first appearance on the new Scottish Thistles dress on Friday 25 September when they start their Netball World Cup qualification journey against the Republic of Ireland at Playsport Arena in East Kilbride.
