Team Bath Phoenix Update

Team Bath thank Blue & Gold family with an update.

Team Bath Netball wanted to take a moment to thank our Blue and Gold family for all the unwavering passion and support you show our programme and share with you an update on what the future might hold for elite netball in the Southwest.

Last season, we saw a huge increase in ticket sales (33% more tickets than the previous year), our social media growth and engagement went through the roof (with several posts and videos reaching over 2million views), and over 900 young talented or inspired athletes accessed our pathway and community programmes across the year.

Without our fans showing up, our athletes committing to the programmes, and our wider network of partners, schools, clubs, coaches, volunteers and community groups backing us, we wouldn’t have been able to continue flying the flag for the Southwest or achieve what we have so far.

And with the 2026/2027 season now upon us, we hope you all will continue to help us grow the impact we can have on our community and achieve our future aspirations.

One of those aspirations, is how we bring about the return of elite netball to the Southwest, and today we are pleased to be able to share an update from Project Phoenix – the independent project being developed to bring this aspiration to reality.

“Project Phoenix is about protecting the proud legacy of elite netball in the Southwest while building a franchise that is ambitious, sustainable and fit for the future. We are incredibly grateful to the supporters who have continued to stand with Team Bath Netball and the NXT Gen programme during this transition. Their passion, together with the strength of the performance pathway and the continued support of the University of Bath, gives us a powerful platform for what comes next.

Now we need that support to show its strength. We want fans to keep showing up, keep backing the programme and keep demonstrating the demand for elite netball in this region. We also want to hear from businesses, investors and partners who share our belief in the future of women’s sport and want to be part of building its next chapter in the Southwest. This is more than just a return to the league; it is a chance to shape the next chapter of women’s sport in the Southwest — together.”
