Forest sign Imogen Allison

Nottingham Forest Netball is delighted to announce Imogen Allison has signed for the clubThe midcourter returns to England having spent two seasons with the Queensland Firebirds in Australia, where she played 26 times across her two seasons with the Super Netball League side.

Having made her debut in the NSL in 2016, the now 28-year-old brings a wealth of experience with her to Forest.

Prior to her move to Australia, Allison spent much of her career at Team Bath and was named captain for the 2022 Super League season.

A key figure on the international stage following her debut for England at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, Allison played a vital role in the Vitality Roses’ silver medal-winning World Cup campaign in 2023.

Allison will be wearing the famous red dress again this summer having been selected for the upcoming Commonwealth Games, before joining up with Forest for next year’s NSL campaign.

As she settles to life on Trentside, everyone welcomes Imogen to the club.

On joining Forest, Allison said: “I’m so excited – I can’t wait! It’s a new club that has had a really good couple of years and I want to push on with the success they’ve been having.

“I have come here to win. Chelsea is an incredible coach, and what the girls showed last season in getting to that top four was huge. I watched every game, and from here we want to push on. I’m looking forward to getting out there, working hard and having a good time doing it.”

Head Coach, Chelsea Pitman, added: “Imogen is a world class addition to our team. I’ve had the privilege of pulling on the England Roses dress alongside her, so I know first-hand the quality, professionalism and personality she brings.

“Her international experience, combined with her recent exposure in Suncorp Super Netball, makes this such an exciting signing for our club. She’s a natural leader, an incredible workhorse and one of those players you simply love to watch.

“I can’t wait to see the impact she will have in the Forest dress.”
