Scotland U17s name leadership team for Europe Netball event in Aberdeen

Netball Scotland has confirmed the leadership team for the Scotland U17 squad ahead of the upcoming Europe Netball event at Aberdeen Sports Village from 6-8 March.

Issy Ferguson and Ally Howitt have been named Co-Captains, with Thea Ibidun selected as Vice-Captain for the tournament, which will see Scotland take on Ireland, Northern Ireland, England and the UAE on home soil.

Issy Ferguson said: “Being named as Co-Captain for Scotland at Europe Netball is such a privilege, I’m so proud to lead the team at a home venue in front of family and friends.”

Co-Captain Ally Howitt added: “Being named as a captain for the U17 event in Aberdeen is such an honour. This group has been so connected on and off the court and I’m so excited to lead such an amazing group of girls alongside Issy and with Thea. I am so proud and cannot wait to experience Netball Europe with this team.”

Vice-Captain Thea Ibidun said: “I am incredibly proud to help lead my country through this national tournament and it means so much to me that I can represent Scotland and show how talented we are.”
