Gabby Sinclair joins Lightning
Sharp-shooter Gabby Sinclair has signed with Sunshine Coast Lightning for the 2026 season, officially completing the Club’s roster for next year.
The goal attack has spent majority of her time in the SSN playing for the Collingwood Magpies and Melbourne Mavericks, before recently signing with the Birmingham Panthers as part of the UK’s 2025 Netball Super League season.
Sinclair brings experience, smarts and accuracy to Lightning’s shooting circle, and is notably strong in the 2-point zone.
Sinclair shared her excitement to return to Australia and to play for Sunshine Coast Lightning.
“I’m really excited to return to the SSN and to join Lightning for 2026. Lightning are an established Club with a great history and I’m feeling grateful for the opportunity to play there.
“I’m happy to be back home in Australia and it will be really special to play in front of my friends and family again.
“I’m looking forward to meeting all the Members and fans, taking the SSN court again and getting to know and work with my new teammates and coaches.
“I can’t wait to see what we can achieve in 2026.”
Sunshine Coast Lightning Head Coach, Belinda Reynolds welcomed Sinclair back to the SSN and said she looked forward to what she can achieve with Lightning.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to welcome Gabby to Lightning and see her return to the SSN after a year in the UK league,” she said.
“Gabby is a smart and creative player, and she has impressive accuracy from distance as well — a valuable skill in the Power 5.
“I’m excited to see Gabby thrive in the Lightning environment and I know our Members and fans are going to get behind her next season.”
