Claire Sanders to lead Panthers Pathway
Sanders joins Nottingham Forest to oversee the Player Pathway Program overseeing the U17, U19 and U23 squads in the National Pathway League.
She arrives on Trentside from Seven Stars where she held positions as General Manager and Franchise Pathway Lead across a seven-year period. During her time at Seven Stars, Sanders coached all pathway age groups and most recently took charge of the Under-19 and Under-15 squads.
Sanders worked hard to develop a comprehensive pathway structure which included over 400 athletes and 60 staff. She joins Nottingham Forest with the intent of developing an equally successful pathway structure with individual athletes at the heart of this, and ensuring they feel a part of the franchise at all levels.
Upon her arrival, Sanders said: “It is a privilege to remain working with pathway athletes. I’m very excited to start up a new pathway which supports athletes on and off the court.
“I am looking forward to learning from the football set-up and bringing across ideas to enhance our player development. This year we will be concentrating on our National Pathway League and Player Development Phase squads with the vision to grow the pathway in future years working alongside our Community Roots Programme, County, Club and School structures.
“We have brought together a great team of coaches and staff from NSL down through the pathway and look forward to seeing what we can achieve this season and beyond.”
