Dragons join UNF initiative
Cardiff Dragons joins United Nations Framework and commits to Global Climate Action
As the world faces a climate emergency, businesses everywhere are recognising the need to be part of a proactive solution. Here at Cardiff Dragons we have proudly joined the United Nations Sports for Climate Action Framework and are committed to helping them take global action.
Cardiff Dragons CEO Vicki Sutton said “Joining the UNCC Framework is really important in our quest to be more sustainable. Together we can work towards building a net-zero, climate friendly future. We have already begun our journey towards becoming a more sustainable organisation and have successfully launched a thrift store at our Cardiff Dragons home fixtures. We are fully committed to adopting the targets and proceeding with meaningful action”.
By signing up to Sports for Climate Action targets, Cardiff Dragons are also joining the Race to Zero global campaign. Race to Zero will rally leadership and support from businesses, cities, regions, universities and investors for a healthy, resilient, zero carbon recovery that prevents future threats, creates jobs and unlocks inclusive, sustainable growth.
