Beth Dix “returns” to Storm

Beth has moved south returning to the club she was once a part of their pathway.

Surrey Storm are delighted to announce the signing of centre/wing attack Beth Dix ahead of the 2024 Superleague season.

The 24-year-old joins from Strathclyde Sirens, where last year she was co-captain and was an integral part of the club since joining ahead of the 2021 season. In 2023 she had the third highest feed in the league.

Dix is used to playing in duck egg blue as she was a part of the Surrey Storm pathway, before moving to Saracens Mavericks and Wasps.

As a teenager Dix was also a part of the England Dodgeball team. She made her debut at the 2014 European Championships in Vienna, and went on to captain her country and to lift a World Cup.

Beth said: “I couldn’t be more excited about joining Storm for the upcoming season. I loved my time in the pathway set-up at Storm. I’m excited to be returning to try and achieve great things as a team and individually this year. It’s going to be a big change for me personally after living in Scotland for the past four-years, but the best things happen outside your comfort zone and I’m ready to work hard on and off the court to make it happen.””

Head Coach Mikki Austin: “We are incredibly excited to announce Beth Dix will be representing the Duck Egg blue in 2024. Beth is no stranger to our colors as a product of the Surrey Storm pathway in her youth days. More recently Beth has shown her leadership as captain of Strathclyde Sirens where she has been one of the league’s best WA’s, finishing third in 2023 for feeds with a total of 496. Beth is an incredible competitor with a ferocious work ethic. We cannot wait to see Beth combine with our attack next season.”
