Thompson 1,28 v Route One Connections,34
POTM Rhian Evans( Route One Connections)

Both teams came out fighting looking for the win. Both attack ends Thompsons (GS) Georgia Harding and (GA) Sam Dunn and Route 1s (GS) Rebecca Cooke and (GA) Nicola Spencer showing what they can do with some sharp shooting with accurate feeds from their wing
attacks, Thompson’s Fern Christian and Route 1s Eliana Kneen. The first quarter ended 7-6 to Thompson.

In the second quarter Route 1s defence stepped up (GK) Claire Battye and (GD) Kat Keeling making it hard for Thompson to get the ball onto the shooting circle. Route 1 capitalised on this and got the ball up to their circle with the help of (C) Rhian Evans and (WD) Sara Watterson. The second quarter finished 12-21 to route one.

Thompson came out in the third quarter knowing they had a lot to do. A few changes for Thompson, so Mika Chen coming off from GD and Anne-marie Crompton coming on at GK with Molly Christian, moving from GK to GD. In the attacking end Fern Christian moved from
WA to GA and Sam Dunn from GA to WA. This made both teams think about their play. The third quarter finished 30-19 to Route 1.

In the final quarter Thompson had a bit of fire in their bellies and came out, determined to close the score. (WD) Emily Rawlins helped the defence put lots of pressure on route 1s attack. Thompson took a few turnovers and with patient play managed to get the ball down to the circle and score from the turnovers. It was just a little too late for Thompson to bring the score in closer. The final score was 28-34 to Route 1 with player of the match awarded to Rhian Evans.

Marbree Missfits, 14 v Suntera Global Ballasalla Cyclones, 22
POTM Trinity Hebden (Suntera Global Ballasalla Cyclones)

The first quarter saw Ballasalla C take the first centre which was converted quickly due to accurate passing down the court and into the shooting circle. The defensive partnership of Ballasalla’s, Victoria Watson (GK) and Shrav Sivakumar (GD) continued to cause the Missfits shooting duo Christie Sayle (GA) and Sophie Wade (GS) difficulties with their excellent interceptions and rebounds. It was a strong start from both teams, Ballasalla were leading at the end of the first quarter 5-4.

The second quarter saw Missfits Tara Murphy (WA) work tirelessly in mid court with some excellent interceptions and tips. She linked well with Emma Riley (C) and Rachel Kewley (WD) who made some fantastic drives. Overall there was some excellent passage of play from both teams. Ballasalla’s Kath Kermode (GS) and Nessa Farren (GA) linked well with Rachel Hopkinson (WA) to get the ball seamlessly into the shooting circle, to add to their already leading score line.

The third quarter saw Missfits come out with a fighting attitude. Suzanne Gray (WD) and Hannah Quinn (GS) came on with fresh legs and gave Missfits renewed fight resulting in Missfits pulling the score back to 15-13 and winning the quarter. Abi Robson (GD) and Abbie Kelsey (GK) worked well together and made some lovely interceptions to disrupt Ballasalla’s
flow with swift passing back through the court.

The final quarter started with only 2 goals in it, there was still all to fight for. Stephanie Ward (C) and Janet Sayle (WD) linked well together to feed the centre third towards the shooting circle of Ballasalla, which led to a quick succession of goals to their already leading score line. Despite Missfits’s resilience it was Ballasalla who took the 3 points, with Trinity Hebdon
receiving POTM for her on-form defence. The match ended Ballasalla C 22-14 Missfits.

Division 2
Castletown Jets, 45 v Ramsey Scarletts,15
POTM Mollie Zybert ( Castletown Jets)
Castletown Jets won the first centre and started the match off strong, quickly scoring their first goal. They then took control of Ramsey Scarlets centre with Mollie Zybert (C), Callie Cubbon (WA) and Amy Potts (GA) moving the ball to their shooters for another goal. Scarlet’s GD, Abigail Harvey and WD Winnie Davies put in some good interceptions, trying their best to keep the ball out of the Jets D but it wasn’t meant to be with Jets leading the first quarter 12-5.

The 2nd quarter saw another strong start from the Jets extending their lead to 24-7. The Scarlets defence struggled to keep the ball away from Ruby Watterson who scored most of the shots taken! Following some changes at half time Ramsey Scarlets had a much stronger start with some great passes from Matilde Jackson (WA) and Molly Philips (C), enabling Erin Corkill (GS) to
score some great goals. This quarter again some great shooting from Jets Ruby Watterson (GS); however there were a lot more interceptions achieved by Scarlets GK Hollie Thompson. Scarlets, Winnie Davies, proved to be a very strong GD taking control of the ball from Jets putting in some strong passes through the centre third. The quarter ended 34-14.

The last quarter continued to see very strong play from Castletown Jets with Summer Sadler intercepting Scarlets centre pass resulting in a goal. Kate Potts (WD), Callie Cubbon (C) and Erin Chapple (WA) worked well together to move the ball quickly and accurately to their shooters. Scarlets did their best to try and take control with interceptions from Molly Philips
(C) and Hollie Thompson (GK) but Castletown Jets were the stronger team today, winning 45-15 and POTM being awarded to Castletown Jets, C, Mollie Zybert.
