Pulse : Ama Agbeze named Pulse captain
The England Rose and Commonwealth Gold winner Ama Agbeze has been named captain of London Pulse in their debut season.
Ama is no stranger to followers of the sport in the UK and she will lead Pulse in their friendlies ahead of the seasons opener against Severn Stars on Saturday 5th January as part of the Super 10 event.
Born in Birmingham, Ama has previously played in the Super League for Loughborough Lightning from 2004-2007. A short time at Leeds Carnegie followed and then time spent at teams including West Coast Fever and Melbourne Vixens.
As part of the Central Pulse squad of 2018 , Ama’s teammates included Wasps Jade Clarke and benecosMavericks Karyn Bailey and she’s looking forward to the games against her past team mates in the Super League.
Ama was confirmed as captain of the English national netball side in 2016 and has since led the team to the infamous win against Australia in the Commonwealth Games GOLD match earlier in the year. She told us at the time
