Leah Middleton Update

Following Leah’s injury she has posted the following on her Instagram.

“Guys ❤️‍🩹

After my injury on Friday night, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions but we’ve made it this far. I want to start by thanking the incredible team at @cardiffdragons_ and @walesnetball_ for not only the immediate care in the moment, but the ongoing support and love that I’m so lucky to receive.

When playing sport you say your team becomes your family and awful moments like this prove that without a doubt – my girls definitely are the best in the world. I’m so lucky to have the love and concern around me and I’m incredibly thankful for the hundreds of messages I’ve received. I’m reading every single one – the love is felt and very appreciated. Eric & my family, you are my rocks and I’m so grateful to have you behind me every step of the way. Cardiff Dragons fans & the Netball world, Thank you for your concern and thank you for the respect and support you’ve shown me so far, it will never be forgotten.

I’ve undergone my first surgery and from all accounts it has gone as well as it could have. The next surgical steps are a little unknown and I’m still recovering in hospital but all I can say is thanks to the support from Cardiff Dragons, I’m under one of the best surgical teams in the country and feel like I’m in good hands.

For now, it’s rest and recovery but I’m determined and strong. You haven’t seen the last of me just yet 🫶🏼
