Forbes and Foley added to Forest Coaches
Sheonah Forbes and Sian Foley have been added to the Nottingham Forest Netball coaching set-up ahead of their debut NSL season.
Forbes joins the First Team staff alongside Head Coach Chelsea Pitman and brings a wealth of experience from her 20-year coaching career including national and international roles.
Forbes joins Forest having most recently been Head Coach of Northern Ireland Warriors and previously spent a large amount of her time coaching in the England performance Pathway.
Upon joining Nottingham Forest Netball, Sheonah said: “I am very excited to be assistant coach alongside Chelsea this season, embracing a fantastic new franchise, brand and culture at Nottingham Forest.
“Being part of an NSL set up was a personal goal I have been working towards for a few years, with my values aligning to Chelsea’s and the vision she exudes, it was a no brainer to jump on board.”
The Club is also delighted to announce that Sian Foley has joined as Team Manager.
Foley is an experienced professional and has over 15-years of Netball industry expertise from a whole range of roles both domestically and internationally.
Starting at the previous Yorkshire franchises Leeds Carnegie and Yorkshire Jets, and more recently for the first two seasons of Leeds Rhinos Netball, Sian was Team Manager for the Netball Super League squads, now bringing this expertise to Forest as the inaugural Team Manager for the NSL team.
In addition, Sian has also previously been Team Manager for England Netball A, then working with current England HC Jess Thirlby, and Forest Technical Advisor Karen Atkinson as well as working with England U17s and U19s.
Alongside her Team Manager experience, Sian has also acted as Field of Play Manager for England Netball Internationals and NSL finals, as well as being selected to be a Field of Play Team Leader at the recent 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
Sian Foley said: “I am extremely excited to be part of the new Nottingham Forest franchise and work closely with Chelsea and her team to ensure they have the best first season.”
