Leeds Rhinos Netball have unveiled their home and away kit for the 2021 Vitality Netball Superleague season.
The blue and amber home kit, which has been made by official kit suppliers Oxen Sports, will be worn for the first time this Friday when the team play in their first ever Superleague game against Celtic Dragons. This season’s away kit is grey and amber.
The dresses feature main club partner Green Flag on the front, along with associate club sponsors Leeds Beckett University and Age Partnership. The predominantly royal blue dress features the club crest across the front with amber strip details on the shoulder.
The left side panelling of the dress incorporates the logos of partners Mears and Leeds City College and the right amber side includes the logo of partner Moda and Yorkshire Netball.
The bibs incorporate the RB7 logo, in tribute to the former Rhinos rugby player Rob Burrow MBE who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2019.
Speaking about the new kit, Head of Customer Experience for Leeds Rhinos, Sian Jones said: “For our first kit we wanted to give the team a distinctive look, whilst also incorporating the traditional elements of the Rhinos brand. Blue and Amber is synonymous with the Rhinos and we are proud that another team will be wearing these colours and representing our club and city this Friday.
“We have worked closely with our partners Oxen to give the team a practical and stylish training range and we are so pleased with the design they have come up with for our inaugural season. We can’t wait to see the girls play in it in this Friday live on Sky Sports.”
Dan Busfield, Leeds Rhinos Netball Franchise Director, said: “I would like to thank all the partners who have come on board for our first season. The backing for the team has been overwhelming and it has been amazing to see both local and national businesses getting behind our new team. Friday will be a huge occasion for the club and the team will proudly wear the logos of each our partners who have given us their support. We are excited to have them, along with our news fans, on this journey with us.
“Our dress also incudes the logo of Yorkshire Netball which is something that is hugely important to us. We know our team is part of a much bigger netball community in Yorkshire and we will be proud to represent them throughout the season.
“We also wanted to show our unity with Rob Burrow MBE, a legend of the Leeds Rhinos club and a sporting hero who has inspired so many of us as a sportsman and also in his battle with MND.”
