Amelia Hall makes the switch to the Rhinos
Rhinos have strengthened their mid court with the signing of Amelia Hall from Thunder.
Hall who plays at centre, wing attack and goal attack, is currently in her final of a biomedical science degree at the University of Leeds.
She joins Rhinos from the 2019 Vitality Netball Superleague Champions Manchester Thunder, where she was a training partner for two seasons and a standout performer in the NPL competition.
Speaking about joining the Rhinos she said: “I feel really privileged to be joining this team and to be part of this new squad. I am looking forward to working with Dan Ryan again being part of a new environment.
“Pre-season is a few weeks in now and we are all gelling really well and there is a good team culture already. There is a real team-based ethic here and an environment that sees people push each other and be the best they can be.”
High Performance Director and Superleague Head Coach for Leeds Rhinos Netball, Dan Ryan said: “Amelia is a fast, dynamic and skilful attacking mid court player that gives us great depth in this area of the court.
“She is very strong and robust in the gym and her court work and skills have certainly caught our attention.
“She’s emerged from the performance pathway and is now ready to take the next up into the senior ranks and I’ve been so impressed with how well prepared she has come into pre-season because she really is flying at the moment.
“There’s nothing better than seeing a hungry, eager, young athlete step up to the plate and embrace the opportunity in front of them.”
Hall joins Jade Clarke, Vicki Oyesola, Brie Grierson, Rosie Harris, Britt Coleman, Rhea Dixon and Sienna Rushton as the players announced so far in the Leeds Rhinos Netball squad for 2021.
