Mizuno has joined forces with London Pulse in a groundbreaking capacity as the franchise’s footwear Research & Development partner.
In what will be the first deal of its kind in the VNSL, Pulse will have access to Mizuno’s range of specialist netball shoes for rigorous testing by every style of player, across all positions. The testing will see the players put the shoes through their paces during training and matches to help Mizuno develop the best possible fit, grip and support.
Part of the deal will also see Pulse be the first to receive new models, including Mizuno’s high-end concept shoes and explore the different technologies found in Mizuno’s other renowned indoor sports such as handball and volleyball.
Natalie Seaton, London Pulse CEO Said “We are very excited to launch our partnership with Mizuno for the 2020 season. Mizuno have been a trailblazer in developing footwear that is designed specifically for netball players across all positions on court. Our players will have the unique opportunity to wear and help to further develop the best footwear technology currently on the market, which is a critical foundation to athlete’s performance.
With Pulse embarking on their second VNSL campaign, Mizuno’s UK Marketing manager Graham Johnson thinks the timing of the partnership is perfect:
“We’ve been looking for a way to substantiate our netball footwear philosophy and the Pulse partnership will provide a vital tangibility. Mizuno netball shoes are popular with many players but it is not enough to accept that – we need to be constantly developing, improving and communicating the potential benefits to performance at every level of the sport.
While netball goes from strength to strength, Mizuno aims to ensure that it remains at the very fore of the sport’s equipment requirements”
