Kick starting our Manchester Thunder 2019 season blogs is Kathryn Turner with the latest from the squad

It’s been almost 3 weeks since our first game of the season at Super10 against Mavericks and so much has happened since then!

We were fortunate enough to play against the England Roses & Australian Diamonds to give them a warm up ahead of the Quad Series. Playing against no.1 & no.2 in the world was fast, ferocious and physical to say the least, but it was an amazing opportunity to see what we could do as a squad and it was a great experience.

The Quad Series itself didn’t disappoint with England beating New Zealand, who then beat South Africa, who then beat England, who then beat Australia! It’s definitely an exciting time to be a netball fan ahead of the World Cup in Liverpool this summer.

Since the Mavericks game and friendlies we’ve been training hard in preparation for our first home game of the season – which is this Saturday at Belle Vue against Strathclyde Sirens. We’re so excited to play in front of our home crowd, so make sure you get your tickets http://bit.ly/NetballShow-ThundervSirens and we’ll see you there!
